FIS Cross-Country World Cup – Tour de ski - Val Di Fiemme, Italy

Every Tour de Ski eventually points to one place — Val di Fiemme. After a week of racing across the Alps, the storylines, the tactics, and the fatigue all converge beneath the shadow of Alpe Cermis, where the Tour is no longer about speed but about resistance, pacing, and will.

Stage 5 already hinted at what was coming. In the classic sprint, Jasmi Joensuu dominated from the qualification heat all the way to the final to secure her first World Cup victory, while Johannes Høsflot Klæbo delivered a controlled masterclass in the men’s race, finishing three seconds clear of the field. Behind him, Sweden celebrated again as Anton Grahn skied a breakthrough race to his first World Cup podium.

Then came the climb.

The final stage up the legendary Alpe Cermis turned the Tour into pure endurance. Mattis Stenshagen attacked the mountain to win and also claimed the best climber honors. While Karoline Simpson Larsen proved even stronger than expected, powering to her second World Cup victory in a performance built perfectly for the steepest slopes of the season.

At the top, history settled into place. Klæbo captured his fifth Tour de Ski title, confirming his dominance over the current era, while Jessie Diggins — in her final Tour appearance — fought to a third overall victory, closing one of the most remarkable chapters the Tour has ever seen.
