FIS Cross-Country World Cup – Oslo, Norway

With only two World Cup stages left before the season’s champions are crowned, Oslo served up two spectacular distance races at the legendary Holmenkollen.

In the Classic 20 km individual, Therese Johaug reminded everyone exactly how it’s done here, claiming yet another World Cup victory on home snow. Martin L. Nyenget followed with what might be one of the most dominant classic performances ever.

The Skate 10 km individual brought its own drama: Sweden’s Moa Ilar finally showcased her full talent, while local favorite Harald Amundsen guarded Holmenkollen with a commanding win. And speaking of talent, Norway’s Einar Hedegart — both a biathlete and cross-country skier — stunned the field by earning his first podium in only his second World Cup start. A rising star for the future?

By the end of the weekend, one thing was certain: Jessie Diggins is untouchable, securing the overall Crystal Globe before the season’s final races.
