FIS Cross-Country World Cup - Lahti, Finland
Lahti stands as one of the true proving grounds of cross-country skiing — a place where tradition, atmosphere, and unforgiving courses come together to test the very best in the world. This year delivered exactly that. In the skate sprint, Jonna Sundling unleashed her secret weapon — that flawless V2 — and simply broke the race apart for a commanding victory. On the men’s side, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo reminded everyone who still leads the pack, holding off the charging Heggen in a thrilling showdown. The 10 km interval classic races brought their own drama: a Swedish duel where Frida Karlsson grew stronger with every kilometer to claim the win with composed authority, while in the men’s race Klæbo once again showed that no one “does winning” quite like him — not even classic master Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget or rising star Savelii Korostelev could respond to his decisive move. With that, Klæbo sealed a perfect season and his sixth overall globe, while Korostelev celebrated a breakthrough first World Cup podium.
